All those buttons work now, in the current session anyway. I'm closing this since it is likely just the unreliable open/save dialog known issue with x64 Windows 7.

Some settings are not being saved between sessions.

For instance Registry Cleaner Grouping. Check a radio button other than the default and it sticks for one session. Next time PT is started it's back to it's default.

Windows XP SP3 x86 freezes and so the crash logger doesn't work any more. (jv16 PT 2010 Build 796)

But now jv16 PT 2010 generates this jv16_debuglog file on the desktop!

I'm running Windows 7 Pro; the PowerTools installation will not start, even after a dozen attempts and a couple of reboots.

I'm hoping this latest Beta5 will install...

If neither the setup file of PowerTools 2009 or PowerTools 2010 Beta5 executes, it sounds like there is something funny going on. Are you using any Anti-Virus software, or anything similar that could block access to a software? Have you tried to install these in Windows Safe Mode? Are you logged in as the administrator?

Okay, I tried both 2009 and 2010 Beta5 and neither would install, though this time I watched Task Manager during both processes and they did show up briefly for about 15 seconds before disappearing.

This is a fresh Windows installation accompanied by a number of MalwareBytes and AVG scans to ensure everything is clean.
