Scanning Registry Never Completes

When I run registry cleaner it gets as far as Performing Final Analysis, This might take a few minutes,Please wait.. And it remains like this for days. Any help appreciated.

What version of PowerTools and Windows you are using? Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows? Have you tried to run the Registry Cleaner in Windows Safe Mode?

Running winxp PRO SP3 32 BIT OS. jv16 1.9.1.606. I have tried safe mode and it does the same. I have had previous licenced versions of JV16 on the pc, 2007 and 2008. They were uninstalled and I deleted their folders from Program Files directories, unless there are references to these versions still in registry.

Any Ideas
