After doing the font change dialogue, the fonts apparently don't really change.

The PowerTools default names still show in the Basic interface tab:
*** when you OK the Settings window and immediately bring it up again,

*** and also when you OK the Settings window, close PowerTools, then restart it.

Changing the font size works in the Settings window, but the size reverts to the default in both of the above scenarios.

I wondered too.

But since it does not accurately describe what the System Cleaner actually does (that varies with your settings), and since it does not run the Registry Cleaner, I assumed this message was not the improvement described by the developer's statement numbered 31.

There are two things I don't like about jv16 PowerTools 2010's Registry Cleaner. The first thing I don't like is there are no Advanced engine settings like in jv16 Power Tools 2009. I NEVER remove Obsolete software so now I can't uncheck the box for Obsolete software. I have to uncheck this AFTER I do a registry scan. This makes it way to easy for me to remove Obsolete software that I don't want removed. The other thing I don't like about jv16 PowerTools 2010 is there is no option for the Results format in a Raw list like jv16 Power Tools 2006. I always use the Raw list when I use RegSupreme Pro.

The following doesn't make the jv16 PowerTools 2010 Registry Cleaner results list look exactly the same as the one in jv16 PowerTools 2006, but it is very close. It also addresses the point you mentioned about scan selection choice:

*** In the Settings Tool, click the "Advanced" radio button. That enables you to do the following things with Registry Cleaner.

*** Use the "Grouping" tab and select "Do not group the results" to get a "raw" type list.

*** Use the "Advanced engine settings" tab. It lets you run only the specific scans you want.

*** The program remembers the last settings you made.

The fix probably did not work fully. I aborted the tool several different times. When re-clicking the tool icon, the list stayed blank unless you first closed the list window.

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce this on x86 Windows 7 and x64 Vista.

Try to "Never show" some "MRU and History" items. The registry and file ignores do work.

I did my best to search and read through this thread for the following issue and could not find anything, so apologies in advance if this is listed here and I missed it somehow...

I see right off the bat a strange issue with the GUI when using the registry information tool. I can confirm all of the incorrect data related issues, but apparently there is a bit of a hitch in how the GUI is implemented at least in this portion of the tool. When hovering over any of the icons across the top, it appears it forces a (very SLOW mind you...) update to all of the information in the window - making it flicker and blink merely by moving one's mouse over any of the icons (which highlights them...) I would guess whomever worked with the GUI made the mistake of calling an update of the entire Window INSTEAD OF merely calling the function to highlight the icon one's mouse is hovering over.

we need to install some VM's to really do any productive BETA testing as this sort of software IS NOT the sort of thing to be running on any of our mission critical systems; at that time we will be able to dive in further and really give the application the workout it needs in different environments as well as hardware and software combinations.

Keep up the fight, we know all too well how tedious a process this is from a developers standpoint!
