If i purchase the Version 2009 now ! Is the upcoming Version 2010 free for me ?

Yes it is.

We will publish the information about the upgrade scheme for PowerTools 2010 when the updated version of PowerTools 2009 is released, probably in next week.

But basically, if you have purchased PowerTools 2009 (any license type) in August 2009 or later, you are entitled for a free upgrade. As always, users are not forced to update, if you own a license for PowerTools 2009 you can use it as long as you want. But, if you want, you can also update to PowerTools 2010. You can also use both at the same time, if you wish.

And of course, all Platinum VIP customers can upgrade without any fees no matter when the license was bought.

Of course not, but we must draw the line somewhere.

Think it like this: if you bought a computer with Windows Vista, there is no way Microsoft is going to give you a free update to Windows 7, no matter when you bought it. But we give a free update to new users who bought the product close to the release date of the new product. I think that's only fair.

And even if you disagree with that, you have to agree that our upgrade prices are very reasonable. Which of our competitors give away new product versions with tons of improvements with only $5.95 to old customers? I can't think of any.
