jv16 power tools does not work

Hello,

Istart the program, it scans and finds 155 errors. I selekt"all" and pres fix. Nothing happens. press all again and also fix, still nothing. The program does not do its job.

What is the reason and how to fix this ?

What version of the program do you use? jv16 PowerTools 2009? Which build? e.g. 1.9.0.590?

What operating system is installed on your computer? Windows XP? Vista?

What tool did you use? Registry Cleaner? with what settings?

Have you selected indeed all the lisetd errors before clicking at the "Fix" button?

Hi,

I have the same issue. Fix button in Registry Cleaner doesn't work. No error messages, I press Fix button and no action. Only Delete button works.

I use jv16 Product version: 1.9.0.590

My OS: Windows 7 RC1 (7100 Ultimate)

EDIT:

And yes I have selected all the listed errors before clicking at the "Fix" button.

Everything on Default settings.

We have had a few similar bug reports. Could someone who can reproduce the problem please try out this test version:

Hi,

thanks for reply. Yesterday I did restore my system partition to baseline image, after that Fix button works again without any problem. If this happens again to me then I will do what you ask in your post above.

Could you please use the .593 build, start it in Debug Mode, run the Registry Cleaner and try to fix something. After that, send me the debug logs. This would most likely help me a lot in solving the problem.

If you haven't done "Debug Mode" before, here's how (one way):

1. Create an empty file named DebugMode.txt on your desktop and rename it to DebugMode.dat.

2. Put it in the folder containing jv16PT.exe, then start PowerTools.

3. Two .html files will appear on your desktop.

4. After you do what jv16 asked, exit PowerTools and "send" the .html files to him:
a. Either via e-mail attachments (jouni.flemming@macecraft.com)

b. Or put the files in a .zip folder which can be attached here if it's not "too large."

5. You turn off "Debug Mode" by deleting DebugMode.dat, or from the DEBUG menu in the main window ...

Version 1605 still does not fix anything. Debug logs sent via email.

I have just seen this problem, for some time my JV16 has also not done anything, Viast Home P and latist JV16 (not beta). I have been using CC to clean the registry and hope this is sorted soon!

I'm hoping to get it fixed and the fixed version released in this week.

I just updated to version 1606, and the Registry Cleaner still won't fix the found problems. Certainly could use some help with this. Thanks.
