Network addressing (\\server\share) does not work.
However, if you can successfully do a Windows "Map network drive ..." to your "server," you can at least see what files in your "Search in" directories are duplicates.
I have not tried a Delete/Backup/Restore scenario with the resulting Duplicate File Finder (DFF) tree. You are on your own with that.
I just did a DFF run using these "Search in" directories:
C:\Program Files (X86)\Macecraft\V\jv16 PowerTools 2009 (located on a computer named dt2)
Z:\Program Files\Macecraft\V\jv16 PowerTools 2009 (located on a computer named dt1)
It told me, for example, that the license files are duplicates.
That's not a surprise because I do install the program on all my computers. :
