Comparison of JV16 PT and PT Lite

I am wondering how the registry cleaner for the paid version and the Lite version differ.

Simply put, they don't. Both programs use the same engine, although jv16 PowerTools is more often updated so it will always contain the most recent version.

One difference is that jv16 PowerTools offers a bit more options how the engine is used, but that's about it.

I cleaned the registry with the Lite version. Then, I used jv16 PT which found an additional 250 registry errors. Each were set on the second safest setting. There appears to be a significant difference in what they are doing.

Please provide an explanation.

jv16 PowerTools contains the most recent version of the engine, the latest version contains a bug fix that causes more errors to be found than before. The Change Log is available here: http://www.macecraft.com/news/186/
