Registry Compactor no longer shows ALL Hives

Hi,

Own JV16 Powertools for 5 years.

The latest release all of a sudden is missing Hives to compact.

This was never the case.

Click on Compact Registry and only 2 show up.

This is a BUG

Cannot confirm! It is NOT a bug. I see 11 entries show up for mine (XP Pro SP3).

It would help if you told what version on Windows you are using, to start with, and any other info that might help track down what is going on, before you jump to conclusions that there is a bug.

No problems at all for me with Registry Compactor in build 590: all hives are showing (11). No BUG!

How many do you have showing? Is 11 right for XP Pro SP3?

11 Hives in Vista Ultimate SP2.

As to XP SP3 I don't know exactly, but as you have 11 hives showing and I have 11 ones in Vista I guess it's OK :

Registry Compactor usually shows 11 with my Vista and XP Pro systems.

With Vista:

* You get 2 more for each additional userid that is still logged in (probably with XP too)

* Sometimes (rarely) the COMPONENTS hive does not show

* Sometimes a schema hive shows

* At a given moment in time, what will show is reflected by this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\hivelist

I have never seen it show only two as reported here. I wonder which two they were?

Sounds like there is more going on than just 9 missing hives.
