JV-16 (590) vs Norton360 v3

Hello All,

After installing the latest Norton 360 v3 ,Jv-16 has found some 10 reg items. Norton won't let you have access to "touch" these unless you first switch Off (uncheck)their "tamper protection" I did this and ran jv and sure enough they were removed . However some of Nortons screens now wouldn't work. No big deal i just restored them and all worked again. Question: if you (on jv-16) select "never show again" can you un-do this selection, if for some reason you want to view or change them? Regards Fred

No, they are not case sensitive.

I didn't think so but I wanted to make sure. I added those 2 lines the first time I ran PowerTools and it gave me those keys. Norton is good for locking their keys so they can't be messed with.

If you still happen to have the backup file in hand, you can send it to me and I can make sure the program will not list these entries in the future.

Here you go, sir. ;) These are for Norton Internet Security 2009. I don't know if 360 has some more keys or not.

We'll see, if nothing major is found from the latest PT 2009 the next released version will be the first beta version of PT 2010 to be released in the next 30-60 days.
