Problem with Version 580?

I installed version 580 earlier today. Since then, when I am browsing with IE8, have a window open, then click on one of my other favorites with the SHIFT key pressed, a new window does not open. Instead, the other favorite loads in the existing window.

I assume that this behavior is determined by registry entries. Is it possible that jv16 PT version 580 did something to change the relevant registry entries?

You can find out by restoring the backup PowerTools created. If that solves the issue, then PowerTools caused it, if restoring the backup doesn't change anything, then it must be something else.
