It backed up my old license file when I changed it to the Platinum license. I never had to delete it first. Maybe I was just lucky? ;)

No, unless you want to run in debug mode all the time.

I normally rename it in place to turn off debug for the next session (DebugMode_.dat, for example).

However, because of the new debug facilities, I have installed the program to two different folders, one for normal use and one for debugging use. I control which one I launch with clearly named shortcuts.

Also show extended information (for advanced users) in Settings. The messages window does not show and even when I click Test it does not work. Another problem is that the Live support Online button on the Home page gives the following, The Live Chat feature is available only for users who have purchased VIP package.

This only shows up once and then never again until I restart the program. Both of these problems are found in the current version. Thanks for your help in advance.

A day or two ago, I used the new Bug Tracking System to report the "Live Support" thing.

Indeed, I just received a new license file from Veera and it now works! I never saw that other thread but had just created a trouble ticket and it was resolved in a couple days.

BTW you were right about the contents of my file--the new one has Computers=1 and VIP=2 and the proggie shows "Platinum VIP" as it should. Thanks again for indulging me...!

The new PT 2009 v.580 looks good! Just installed it over PT2008 on two XP SP3 rigs, the license was recognized fine, no problems running it. PT 2009 found 241 additional errors, mostly older MRUs and User Assists, that a just-run PT2008 didn't so your improvements work well. Congrats on the work and thankyou! :)
