None of the Registry Cleaner errors that I reported in B553 for x64 Vista have been fixed in Build 554. Same errors reported.

Did you receive my debug logs for x64 Registry Cleaner from Build 553? I emailed them this morning.

The registry cleaning errors that I reported in B553 for XP-SP3 32bit appear to be fixed in B554.

Full Row Select/Unselect does not work in the Registry Compactor or the Service Manager. I should have checked this in B 553...sorry.

Do you mean this problem from the previous page of this thread?

"The keys shown in the picture below are not in the HKLM\Software\Wow6432 section. They are in the HKLM\Software section."

Or also the Internal Errors?

Neither of the above are fixed in B554.

A new private test build released:

This version should fix the remaining x64 compatibility issues reported. However, there is at least one more compatibility issue left: when using PowerTools' Open in RegEdit feature under 64 bit Windows the started instance of RegEdit is 32 bit and thus only displays the 32 bit registry, not the full registry.

Wonderful! 1.9.0.555 Finally fixed the annoying startup hang and flickering problem! Registry Cleaner also now working. There were some minor startup problems, but went away when I restarted the program a few times (requiring shutdown using task manager - but that also went away).

I'll test drive it more today and let you know if any other problems come up. Great work! Thanks for your efforts to pin-point and reseolve the bug. Much appreciated.

OK. Looks like the startup hang problem is really fixed. All running smoothly now.

B555 fixed full row select/unselect in the Registry Compactor and Service Manager modules.

This is Vista SP1 x64 Business, PT Build 555.

On attempting to restore 44 registry keys that were removed, a Restore failure occurs. Attached are the original 44 registry keys before they are "Fixed"; the backup file for these registry keys; and the Registry cleaning scan showing the keys in the registry after they are "Restored". In the next post, I will attach the cleaning debug logs and the restoration debug logs showing the errors.

Here are the debug logs.

Aaaaaaaaargh...the cleaning debug log is too big to post. These x64 registry debugs need about 384 kbyte size on the forum to be able to upload them.

For x64, Registry Cleaner, the right click menu option "Export as .Reg file" does not work. Nothing happens when this option is selected...no navigation window appears. It does work on 32-bit systems.

It looks to me like you are very close to having a fully compatible 32/64 bit version of PT 2009 ready for release

In file tools, add files doesn't work again under Vista x64.

I'm also having problems with File Tools under Vista 64. I usually use JV16 to search for empty folders, but I haven't been able to for a while now. I've tried it with several test builds and the standard builds now. Neither File Finder or Directory Finder seem to be working properly. I haven't tried any other File Tools yet. I've used it with no problem at work on XP 32 Bit.

Hi. After upgrading to 2009 v 1.9.0.552 I am also getting the flicker at initial startup & have to use task mgr to terminate program. After reading through forum I found entries with link to ver 555 to download. However, when I click on the link, I get the regular download page (which leads to the ver I already have installed. Please advise so I can start to use program again.
