Hello!

Updated tonight to the new version. The old version said that i had 0 errors to repair in normal registry cleaning policy mode. But version 1.9.0.548 finds 900 errors to repair. Can this really be true from 0 errors to 900 errors to repair. This is on Vista Ultimate 32 bit system.

Kind Regards

(From 0 errors to 900 errors make you wonder!)

Could you please send a list of those errors here so I can take a look?

I have just the opposite. It says zero errors and then goes into: "...Performing final anlaysis..." and never ends.

:(

Same here. Zero then LOTS. Also running Vista Home Premium SP1. I backed out 548, but can reinstall to get the list if you want it. They are clearly errors as they reference programs I use regularly, like Quicken 2009 and others.

Lets not jump to conclusions. Could someone please send me a list of those new errors not found by the previous versions?

I have the bar towards the lower 1/3. Where is the option to "uncheck final analysis"?

In Registry Cleaner, under tab Results format there is a check box called "Use Deep Analysis".

Found the same thing - went from 0 errors with version 540 to 2225 errors with version 548 (both run at the second level (default).

Errors: 2 Keys, 2223 Entries

I have a zip file of the errors but how do I send it to you?

Also, I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3.

Just use the forum's "Upload Attachment" feature when replying.

I'm not sure it is actually fixing the errors. There is no message saying it fixed.

Tried to send it via PM. It is 94K and 60K is the max PM handles.

Try to send it to this Topic. The topic Upload Attachment doesn't have such size limits as far as I know.

Give a filetype it will accept. I've tried a few.

A zip?

Sent via email. Thx. And, doh! A ZIP. That probably would have worked. Tired I guess.

Received your email, thanks! It seems that the vast number of errors not detected by the previous version(s) fall under the category of the Shared DLL files and key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\ especially.

So could you, or someone else, please verify that the SharedDLL items PowerTools report to have a value of "0" really, do have a value of "0". The validation can be easily done by opening the key with RegEdit.
