Getting back on topic - I also vote to have the "Expand All" option; maybe at the top of the scan results screen.
It seems that almost every Registry Cleaner seriously "recommends" that each "error" be examined before being deleted/corrected.
With version 2009, after the scan, the first thing I do is expand each category so having the option or having them expand the way they used to would be great.
The "dat" file modification is ok as a stop-gap, but I agree, depending on how well its documented, most users won't remember.
A check box for "Expand All" would be great, if not too much trouble.
