V.1.9.0.539/540 Cannot Access Registry on Vista x64

Running Vista SP1 x64 Business. PT 2009 V1.9.0.539 cannot access the registry on startup...even if "Run as Administrator" is selected.

I have the same problem on Vista x64 (Home Premium). I tried installing/running it as Administrator (though I am in an Admin account anyway), and it did not fix it.

Same problem here with 539 & 540 on Vista x64 system.

I had to revert to an older release to solve the problem until Macecraft comes out with a fix.

I too have exactly the same error message with my Vista 64 bit system and the software simply will not work. I have:-

1. Uninistalled

2. Re-installed as Administrathave

3. Run as Administrator

But always I get the same error message as everyone else.

I too have reverted to Version 1.9.0.531 to get it to work and now await a fix :| .

1.9.0.540 reports no access to registry on Vista Home Premium x64. Rollback to v ........531 eliminates registry access problem.

It seems that the build 540 cannot get a full registry access with Vista or XP 64 bit systems.

Anyone using such 64 bit systems should downgrade to build 531:

I will fix the problem ASAP.

I'll release a test version build 542 shortly in: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3674 which should fix this problem and many other issues with 64 bit Vista.
