As suggested, I installed jv16 PT 2009 v1.9.0.531 on Windows 7 v6.1 Beta (Build 7000). Installation ran smoothly.
The machine has only one user who is the administrator. Although I do not know whether it makes any difference in this setup, I ran jv16 PT in elevated mode (in Start Menu, right click on jv16 PT, then click on "Run as administrator"). The following remarks concern the Registry Cleaner:
1. As you said, there are no major problems. I ran the program and restarted the system several times. The machine booted flawlessly every time.
2. Reg Cleaner found 800 errors. It got rid of all but 262 of them. After several runs, this number did not change. On each of them, the reason for the failure to correct was indicated as "Access denied or invalid key". I used the "Fix" button exclusively.
3. The warning "Running the Registry Cleaner in agressive mode should only be used by advanced users..." is now displayed at every run. In RegSupreme Pro and in the previous build of jv16 PT that I used, the warning was displayed only once after installation, which is preferable IMHO.
4. In the Scan Report, the two big rectangular areas labeled Registry health score and Registry scan speed are empty. However, the text below them shows the scan time correctly.
