With public beta testing program.
You mean there is no systematic step-by-step, option by option test that ensures all features presented in the previous version (full version, PT2008) work as before in the new product (PT2009)? Open each tool, exercise each menu item, etc.

but shouldn't all prior "features" continue to work?
What I don't understand is that if these two items are shown in the Registry Manger menu ("Open With menu" and "Search menu") and they are both empty and confirmed not to be working why this was not detected prior to full product release and corrected. You even ask to have this confirmed back in February by other users and got several posts confirming it was indeed not working correctly.
We can go back and forth about the testing, but if they show on the menu and don't work and are also documented in the manual then they either need to be fixed or removed and the manual edited to show they are not part of the program.
Four beta's and two RC releases - and what, four point issues so far in the past two weeks? And how many posts recently about things that don't work - things like the Registry Cleaner where we are warned by a loyal user "DON'T USE" the Registry Cleaner until its fixed, CRITICAL BUG, etc.
Maybe redseujac has hit on something; perhaps its gotten too complex to do both 32bit and 64bit in one program, or WinXP and Vista, etc.
I'm sure I don't see the "big picture" but this is a little discouraging, to the point where I only feel safe using jv 16 2008.
