Suggestion: include temp. license.xbin in future betas or RCs

Once again, there is a flurry of license problems coincident with a new product release.

Perhaps some of this could in the future be avoided if some beta testers were provided with temporary versions of the intended new license.xbin.

As it is done now, there is no significant beta testing of licensing logic, except for the "trial expired" situation.

This is a good idea! We didn't issue any beta testing license because there were only minimal changes to the licensing scheme.

I haven't yet had the possibility to really study these reports to tell whether there is a problem in the product or are these reports simply caused by downloading errors of the license files.

Yes, and if the problems are due to some sort of distribution system overload, there probably are not enough betas testers to reproduce that.

On the other hand, some of the trial period resets required during the almost three month PT2009 beta/RC series might have been avoided.
