. . . Select product --> jv16 PowerTools 2009 (Upgrade from PT 2005/2006/2007/2008) ($6.95)

Uncheck the "License Storing service" ($5).

Click "No thank you" next to the "Premium Technical Support subscription" ($6.95).

Click Continue -- the next page should show $6.95 (it did for me, with Firefox).

... and if you don't click "No thank you," the next page will show $13.90 ...

Okay, I finally managed to pay the $6.95 for the upgrade. Now am waiting for the license.

That was it.

I had deselected the "License Storage" - frankly I'm surprised at that one. I'm used to seeing that at much less reputable developers. Never thought I would see it here.

But since there is no price shown on that page, I figured that the 12 month support fee WAS the upgrade price. More developers are going to that model, where you can download the new software but can't use it unlesss you pay for a year of "support", usually meaning that it's a 12 month subscription rather than a software purchase. Notice that the upgrade pricing of $6.95 doesn’t show otherwise.

Thanks for finally clearing it up for me, Tullik - I kinda knew if anyone helped it would be you. :)

Jim

Hello,

Similar problem here, I purchased an upgrade for 4.49 euro last night but I received no e-mail with a license file.

This is just miscommunication. They could probably avoid most of it if they simply showed the cost on the detail lines of the "2. Order Verification" page.

For example:

  • Product: jv16 PowerTools 2009 (Upgrade from PT 2005/2006/2007/2008) $6.95

    License: Personal use

Premium Technical Support: For life. $19.95

License Storing service For life. $5.00

    Total Price: $31.90 (USD)

    Total Price: 20.48€ (EUR)

Has that server downloading problem been corrected? I ask cuz I'd like to buy a second upgrade license for a second set of computers but I want to wait until the license.xbin problem is fixed completely, not just "patched" by using v528.

We haven't found any problem in our license server, since there has been no changes to the license server during the release (i.e. the same system has worked perfectly before) I think the problem could be client-side. Sometimes when you download data it doesn't work 100%, that seems to happen sometimes.

Now I found a problem from our licensing system that could cause it to produce a corrupted license, the problem is now fixed.

Okay, thanx for the update.. I think I'll wait one more update or so and then buy those additional licenses that I want for other systems.

Problem solved, I received the license key with a link in an e-mail and everything works fine. I installed last version on my sansung nc10 netbook running win xp and I did some try. Is seems OK. Good work.

Does it mean I have to download new license again and replace it with the previous license which downloaded 3 days ago?

OK i HAVE VERSION 1.8.0.472 2008 and I see that Version 1.9.0.528 2009 is available. It tells me that I have to pay for this upgrade which seem to me would be VERSION 2.0.0. In any case it says i can get if for $6.95 special price but I am unable to do anything but download JV16 2009 Which means I have paid full price for a program that was only up to date for 2 months then have to buy A NEW VERSION??????????

Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I don't quite understand what seems to be the problem, but if you wish to upgrade for the special price, you can do it here: http://www.macecraft.com/eshop/jv16powertools2009-upgrade/

If you mean you bought jv16 PowerTools 2008 just 2 months ago, then you can update to the new product version for free. As stated in our website (e.g. at http://www.macecraft.com/news/171/) all customers who have bought jv16 PowerTools 2008 in September 2008 or later can update for free. In such case, you can simply just install the new PowerTools 2009 and your existing license will work with it.

Yes I'm having the same old problems. My installation tells me that the upgrade will cost $6.95 but on proceding to purchase I'm told the cost is BP 21.94. Get away.

I've tried to pay $6.95 but was told there was a problem with my card. How do I know that the payment failed? If I walk away now, have I paid? If so, how much?

Not good enough, guys.

If you PM me your email address I can see whether your order has come through.

Hello,

JV 16 I left my card for the transaction which was hoped to buy an upgrade jv16 Powertools 2009, but on the last screen was marked on a page Macecraft the word failed. I twist I did not note the serial number, I do not know if my transaction has gone and it is 3 days as it lasts!

I expect an expert in your hand to see if there was trading or not.

Apologies to jv16 who is trying to help me but Virgin Email is down.

All is now well. 2009 up and running - but have I paid twice? Will rely on an earlier promise to another client, and trust that any duplicate payment will be credited.

Glad to hear everything is now well! There is no need to worry about duplicate payments, we can always refund any duplicate payments, even after the 30 days money back guarantee.
