Is there a way to tell what file a control panel icon goes to so I can get rid of it if it is left over. This would be nice to add too. Thanks.

For many (not all) control panel icons, you can see what .cpl file is involved as follows (Vista):

1. In the classic control panel window, right-click the icon and select "Create shortcut." The shortcut goes to your desktop.

2. Right-click the shortcut and select "Properties."

3. Click the "Change icon" button. The .cpl file shows in the "Change icon" pop-up.
