I know that PT2008 have regretly some bugs still, but not everything is caused by this program.
Some time ago, I was unpleasantly surprised by the fact that suddenly my stored TV-programs wouldn´t start and weren´t captured on the HD. Later on it turned out to be the bug where the startupmanager didn´t function properly. After Tullik´s work he found the solution for this problem (thanx again!).
Yesterday, I had the same problem! Not again, I thought. : But the entry in the register
To make this story somewhat shorter, I suspected that Hauppauge´s scheduler entries could be crippled somehow.
So I reinstalled the program again and then saw that Spybot´s SDresident had changed an entry in the register!
And that did the trick! Everything is functioning fine now....
What I would like to say is that some bugs are related to PT2008 by some users, although the cause lies somewhere else.
But....... I agree with the fact that PT2008 has some bugs which should be solved before JV can think about the 2009 version. I know that such a program like PT2008 can cause much harm to the system if used incorrectly, so before using it I always use ERUNT to save everything in case that........ I wish JV all the best to solve the bugs in the near future!
