I've been a registered user for a couple of years but never used the Disk Wiper.
I've just decided to sell a small disk (20.4 GB) on ebay as a test, and I decided to clean it first. I left it running for over 12 hours ( I selected the most complex option) and the blue progress line was still only a percent or so above zero.
I've stopped it running for now, but is this normal? If so, how long will it take to wipe a 250Gb disk.
I'm running a AMD 3.02 with 4Gb memory, Vista, and the disk I was cleaning was and IDE drive connected via an external USB drive.
