RegSupreme Pro registry cleaner runs at 100% CPU usage

I have the latest version of RegSupreme Pro installed on an XP SP2 Home Edition.

I have noticed when running registry cleaner Normal mode (aggressive) the Task Manager shows 100% CPU usage which immediately drops back down to 5% when RegSupreme Pro no longer running the registry cleaner. Why is it so high?

The registry cleaner uses a lot of threads (a lot of separate processes running at the same time), which results in a faster registry scan, but also a higher CPU usage.
