In the "File backups" tab, when used with the "List filter" in the "Custom restore" window, selective deletion of shown files appears to work. The files drop from the list and are removed from the backup subfolder. Reversing the filter lists the files you do not want to delete from the backup, and they are still in the backup subfolder.
When used in the "Registry backups" tab, something also goes wrong. The operation appears successful when you delete the listed items, then reverse the filter.
