I just attempted to use the File Tool split function for the first time, but it proved to be a non-starter. I wanted to split an 8+GB file for burning to DVD. I selected the file and started the split just before going to lunch. When I returned, I found PT staring off into space with no output having been produced. A small sample of subsequent tests all failed similarly on large (3+GB) files. A small file I split appeared to work okay.
