1. Almost always, when a scan completes, these symptoms appear together if a message box is present:
b. Column drag-resize stops working
c. Caption area drag-select doesn't work
d. Ctrl/Alt/F does not bring up the Filter feature
All these symptoms go away when you close the message box. Sometimes, item 1.d. still does not work. The symptoms return at once when a new message appears.
2. These symptoms appear to be GUI related, but perhaps not message box related:
b. When running Registry Finder, its messages appear in the Registry Cleaner message box if it is on the desktop at the same time -- happened once, the only time I did an RF scan while the finished RC window was there …
c. Occasionally, when the RC scan completes, the results window becomes very unresponsive and the jv16PT.exe process uses a steady 50% cpu (HTT machine); some buttons and menus respond to clicks but dropdown lists disappear too quickly to select anything; the list lines and caption area are totally unresponsive; the Maximize/Minimize/Restore widgets work, but Exit does not -- you have to kill jv16PT.exe, or, sometimes Close from the task bar works.
Structured list format has variations of the symptoms in 1 and 2 above, but I don't use that format enough to be able to describe the behavior.
