Why Software Manager show (for some software) the instalation date as N/A or (day.month.year.hour.minute) as for example 01.04.2008.00.00 .I mean that the hours and minut are shown always 00.00.?

For me it's very important to know the precisely then the application was installed/changed.

And if it was changed, which element of it is changed.

Can someone help me in this matter? Please.

The handbook explains that the Software Manager is an approximation. The rationale for implementing it in this manner eludes me. The tool is quirky, in that it fails to report all installed software - or may report a particular program differently from one time to the next. Those who do not use the aging feature may not notice this behavior. Long-installed programs just pop up as 'new' one day, without apparent reason (such as recent invocation.) You can record this behavior by saving and comparing separately generated .dat files used by the aging/comment feature. You can see that the tool reports some programs differently from time to time, and therefore doesn't recognize them as 'old'. When you couple this with the fact that the crude aging feature fails to notice when software is uninstalled, you have compounding defects in the product.
