I'm using JV PT 2008 ( 1.8.0.446 ) on XP SP2 (fully updated) and use the Registry Cleaner on a daily basis, along with CCleaner and the all-in-one wizard from SystemSuite 8 Professional. I also run Diskeeper Premier Pro on Auto Defrag.
Simply put, I am very conscientious about keeping my system clean and well maintained. The following situation is therefore a major concern to me.
When I open JV16, the Registry Health meter reads 100%, but the PC Health meter reads 92% and says I can improve the rating by using the file cleaner to clean my system of unneeded files.
I've run the file cleaner in Safe Mode; it found only 4 tiny files inside my Mozilla Firefox. I had JV delete them after making backups of them, rebooted, re-opened JV16, and found that the PC Health meter was still reading 92% and again mentioning using the file cleaner to improve the rating by getting rid of unneeded files.
I am not what I would call an advanced user, and have no idea of what to look for/do to get my PC Health meter back to the 100% where it should be at. I've seen the options for "medium" and "aggressive" modes in the File Cleaner, but have been leery of using them for fear of damaging my system and uncertainty as to whether their use would really bring the PC Health meter back to 100%. ( I do run Acronis True Image on a sheduled daily basis to protect myself in case of any real trouble developing, but want to avoid generating a situation where an Acronis restore would be needed).
Please advise what to look for/do to bring my PC Health meter back to 100% and if I need to provide any other information in order to figure out the problem.
Again, I don't consider myself an advanced user --- please take note of that when advising me.
Thank you! to any and all who may be able to help me resolve the situation.
One other small matter--I don't know how to update my information--I'm now running a different Asus motherboard and an Athlon3500 processor. Please advise how to update that info---I couldn't find where to do that in the User Control Panel
