I am running Windows XP Pro. A game (though not on my hard drive - not in my programs folder) is listed in my registry.
I wanted to re-install this game, but I couldn't. I get a message that a previous version existed. So I used jv16 PowerTools 2008 Registry Manager and deleted the "older version" of the game. (Maybe I should have clicked "Uninstall"?)
Now the older version is listed nowhere on my computer/registry, but when trying to install the game I get the same message saying, "an older version exists. You must first uninstall the older version before you can install the new one".
The game is Rome: Total War
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked the forums of Rome: Total War and saw your product was recommended.
