I'm running a registered copy of jv16PT2007 on Windows XP. When I start PT, click on RegCleaner, and try to click Start, nothing happens. If I close PT, reopen it, and try again, everything works. Any ideas? :|

Could you tell me does "nothing happens" mean that not even the Registry Cleaner's small option window with the Start button close?

By "nothing happens", I mean that the small RegCleaner window opens, but none of the buttons will respond to a mouse click. It appears that the program has frozen, and I have to close PT by right clicking on the program in the taskbar and clicking close. Once I re-start PT, everything works fine after that. This problem does not occur 100% of the time I open PT, just the vast majority of the time. Before I wrote this post, I tried to recreate the problem, and just like when you call a repairman, everything seems to be working fine this morning. Would still appreciate any advice you can give, though, for the next time this problem occurs. Thank you.

To be clear, when you click the Registry Cleaner's icon from the main window the small Registry Cleaner window opens but sometimes it doesn't accept any clicks at all. Is that it?

Have you tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program? Could you please tell me the Serial Number of your license? You can find it under Help > License Info of the main program window.

I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled, but I have updated to the latest available version. Here's my license info:

License owner: Gary Lefmann

Contact e-mail: writeman47@charter.net

Licensed computers: 5

License issued: 06.03.2006 (dd.mm.yyyy)

Serial number: 41544-014-764503688

Could you consider doing an uninstall and then reinstall? If you want, you can save your backups simply by copying your backups directory to another location (e.g. Desktop) and then paste it back after the reinstall.

Sorry, we encountered an error while displaying this content. If you're a user, please try again later. If you're an administrator, take a look in your Flarum log files for more information.

Same problem has reappeared. Any further thoughts?

Would you be interested in running a special build if I make one just for you? I would include some debug code which would help me to better understand what's the root cause of the problem. If you could help me out with this, I could give you a free update to PT 2008 when it's released.

Sounds good to me. BTW, I started using your program because it was highly recommended by Fred Langa in his old LangaList newsletter and I have a lot of trust in Fred, and therefore, in you. Regards.
