Performing a Deep Scan and removing all found entries constantly breaks Pervasive Control center (from Pervasive SQL 2000i). I could not determine for 100% which lines those are, esp. as it usually finds hundreds and it's several dozen lines which should NOT be removed. You may be able to imagine that his is a major hassle, when you have to sift through so many lines and be very careful, which ones to remove.

It is actually ermoving the registration of interface elements of the grid component of PCC, which has a very bad effect the first time you try a SELECT statement. It effectively kills the PCC, rendering it completely unusable.

What version of the product you are using?

The latest one, downloaded from your website one week ago (cause the one I used before had a few annoying bugs, like the flashing "fix" button and crashing upon exit due to a faulty windows handle). Actually I always had that problem, I just never realised the conenction as the time period between cleaning the registry (which I don't do often, alas) and using the PCC was significant. In the past I fixed the problem by reinstalling the PCC (which can only be done by removing and reinstalling the Database and the SDK, which is rather cumbersome). Only lately I realised the cause and I was even able to narrow the problem down to a few dozen entries. I still have the backup on my laptop, I could provide it once I get home after work.

Btw, I have decided to try jv16pt and will upgrade once I am convinced (which is very likely, the product appears marvellous in the handbook)
