I am running registry cleaner each time I uninstall a program. When I do, I discover some entries are appearing there even though registry cleaner reported they were corrected the last time. Several entries are for Roxio which I uninstalled several months ago.

I'm not sure what to do now to get rid of those entries, and why Registry Cleaner thinks it has fixed them, but they're not fixed.

Many thanks in advance,

Sue

Hello Sue,

1)

Uninstalling a software, unfortunately, does not mean that every entry or file, of this software, is deleted from your harddisk or registry.

Roxio is one of them.

2)

Many software recreates automatically deleted entries.

The workaround for this is to check in "Registry Cleaner" > "Advanced options" the option "Don't show items that would be automatically re-created"

Hope this helps you.
