In my case jv17tools found 188 "Medium Errors” described as "Invalid ActiveX/DDE/COM/DCOM/OLE item".
Last time I deleted this type of errors, I had to reinstall Vista. I would really like to understand how these ActiveX errors are scanned. I have tested more than 11 different registry programs, from the most sophisticated to the most basic. They all seem to disagree as to what the errors are for ActiveX/DDE/COM/DCOM/O.
I found two or three totally "safe" ActiveX error finders but they leave too many errors in the registry to even consider them as serious alternatives for a professional job.
If anyone can find the answer to this question, please let me know.
How can I check that a registry cleaner completely and effectively scans "ActiveX/COM/DCOM/OLE/DDE" with no false positives and no problems left unchecked? I am willing to buy a complete registry suite if only it does an excellent job in this area.
