Another thought: * History Cleaner in v 1.7.0.411 was very slow on my system (I have only ~ 500 MRU items in the registry)
* ~ 70 seconds to complete the scan in v 1.7.0.411 versus ~ 5 seconds in v 1.7.0.405
* in v 1.7.0.413, the scan time is back to ~ 5 seconds
* if you were using 411, try 413 -- it is ~ 14 times faster against my Vista registry
* with 1000s of MRUs, it could take several minutes to complete your scan
* having a task manager window open on the performance tab lets you "see" what HC is doing cpu-wise
* unfortunately, 100% cpu could mean it's busy working, or could mean it's just looping -- I'd give it about 30 minutes before aborting ... :?
