Need my license reissued....

...through no fault of my own, this time!

I just downloaded the updated version of PT 2007, and that is the message I get every time I run it. The program keeps working though. I simply X out of the warning message and continue on. But I can't close the program down without killing it thru Task Manager, and it keeps displaying the "About" splash screen on start-up and attempted exits without providing me a way to quit that, either.

Did I mention a few weeks ago that jv16 PT 2006 was perfect? Why must we have all these problems now?

Edit: Since I imagine it's human nature to wonder at my truthfulness, let me refresh everyone's memories. I used to post as "dm" here (I think I forgot my email or password for that name, so I simply created another one (marah_marie) somewhere down the road). Back then I was losing my license for PT 2006 frequently with reformats. My license was reissued at the time, but I deleted my posts owing to their sensitive nature or something (really can't recall what the issue was with that). The thread for that was here:

Thanks for your response; got my license and reinstalled it tonight.

I'm going to get all gushy now: I haven't tried the updated version of PT 2007 on AOL yet, but I haven't forgotten, and I will test it soon and get back to you, but in the meantime the updated 2007 is a massive improvement over the original version. It's faster and more accurate (a few issues with the Reg Cleaner, though, it's miscounting between issues found and issues actually removed).

I tested it on corrupted installs of Opera, Netscape, and removed AOL Cleanup with it just for kicks (someone wrote recently that AOL Cleanup will remove older versions of AOL, but that functionality doesn't seem to exist, and it's a woefully inadequate and even dangerous tool for AOLers to use, as it asks them to mess with a lot of settings that they might not even understand).

Installing the AOL 9.* software and removing it are both time-consuming projects so I've put it off to get the rest of my to-do list caught up, and that list isn't knocked out yet, but as soon as it is...I'll get back to you.
