I wish to find and delete duplicate photos, which may have different names but whose contents are identical.

The files are in two directories:

..\My Pictures

..\MyPics

I want to delete any duplicates that are found in ..\MyPics.

After Duplicate File Finder lists the results, I do a Search for "\MyPics\" and ask to "Select the found items." The Search runs down the list but only highlights and selects the last matching item.

I have tried all search types, but this makes no difference.

Also, the Option "Move the focus to the first found item" does not work; nor does "Search only within the highlighted items." "Unselect the found items" and "Only highlight the found items" are greyed out.

Thank you,

Douglas

jv16 PowerTools 2007 v1.7.0.405

WinXP MCE

I just tried the same procedure on a laptop running WinXP Professional with identical results.

Duplicate File Finder (Vista)

Confirmed here (v.1.7.0.405). I tried it for *.bin; *.xbin in C:\Program Files.

The "search within tree" feature misbehaves exactly as reported by lownoise.
