Transparency Effect Control not functioning

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the Transparency Effect setting control?

To test open jv16PT then from the file menu >> Settings >> Interface;

the title of the control box, Transparency effect is grayed out and the control itself is dysfunctional.

I noticed this in a previous version, and reported it, but it seems to have been overlooked.

I don't use the transparency effect, but I looked -- you are right -- the "Enabled" radio button is disabled.

I'll add this topic to the "Advisory."

I just tried it on my XP Pro system -- the button works there -- but does not work on my Vista system. So apparently it's a Vista only bug ... or perhaps equipment dependent? For example, my Vista system's display apparently doesn't support Aero -- maybe not transparency either ...

I have the same issue as the OP.

Vista32 Business.

Nope, as I said in my original report on this http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=10400#10400 my system fully supports Vista and Aero, and transparency. Must be a bug with JV16PT in Vista.

Just fishing/double checking ...

I thought that too -- actually already have "(Vista)" in the "Advisory" item -- will update shortly ...

This is indeed a minor bug relating to Vista compatibility: the transparency features are built in to Windows starting from Windows 2000.

So, PT checks the version of Windows to determine whether the transparency feature should be enabled. But it only checks for Windows 2000 and XP, but not for Vista.

This problem is now fixed, thank you for reporting.
