JV16 PowerTools 2007 doens't run in Limited Accounts

Hi:

I've upgraded JV Power Tools to version 2007 from 2006. The program runs fine in the administrator account, but doesn't want to run in limited accounts. When the program is started in a limited account, the program tab is shown in the taskbar after some seconds, then it stay there for a couples of seconds more, and then disappears. The JV16 windows is never show open.

I added this topic to my "Advisory." Perhaps someone will try to confirm it as a general problem ...

This is by design and the program should warn you about running in non-admin mode.

The program need to have access to pretty much the entire system, this can only be done in admin mode. Therefore I don't think support for non-admin accounts will be made any time soon.

V.1.7.0.405:

XP Pro in a Guest or Limited account:

1. Warnings occur …

2. If I start PT via "right click-->Run as…-->The following user-->Owner-->OK" it runs apparently OK, without warnings

Vista in a Guest or Standard User account:

1. There are no warnings

2. But "run as administrator" is forced by Vista when you launch PT
