Sloooow PC

hi - my pc has been running really slow for a week now. i have tried everything to quicken it up, jv16, ccleaner, spybot, discfragmenting, disccleaner, registryfix...you name it and i tried it...to no use! the pc is very slow, esp. when i am on the web...it taken about 30-45secs to turn a page on a website like cnn which is far from normal. my internet connection is fine. please can someone give me some advice? desperate....tks

I hope you've got Windows XP? Then you can try to recover by going back to a former configuration by trying a recovery point. Do you know this function? You can find it in the Control panel.

I would say: try a recovery point dating from more then a week ago. I hope this will help.

unfortunately my recovery function does not seem to work. it goes through all the motions, shuts down and restarts the pc - only to tell me it was unable to reset the pc and no changes have been made. any other suggestions anyone pls?
