Bug if you use long pathnames

Hello Developer,

i work with WINDOWS-XP (German edition).

I detect, that the actually version of 'Power Tools 2007' make problems with long(er) pathnames.

I install this software in a folder under my desktop, the path is

"C:\WINDOWS.WKS\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Administrator\Desktop\REG-Tools\JV16 Powertools 2007_1.7.0.388"

After the installation i want start the 'jv16PT.exe' - it shows a few seconds the icon in the tasktray, then it close immediately.

without messages or error-advices.

After some experiment i create a folder like C:\testit and installed jv16 PowerTools 2007 into it.

The i start it here, it works now correctly - then i DEinstall it again, REinstall it into the path "C:\WINDOWS.WKS\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Administrator\Desktop\REG-Tools\JV16 Powertools 2007_1.7.0.388"

and start it ... same effect, jv16 PowerTools 2007 not starts.

The error was reproducible also on a second PC.

Is this problem well-known?

Can the error be eliminated at short notice/in a short time?
