I am trying to clean up a friends computer. it is a pent2 with 64MB of memory and 4 GB hhd running windows98se. I downloaded the 2006 version of jvpt and installed it. When I start to run the program I get a message: "Runtime error 216 @ 0040439A". I have checked at microsoft and they say it is a virus possibly. I have checked on Google and still no luck, Everyone wants to sell you what you already have. I have run AVG and Avira and did remove a couple of trogans but still cannot start the program. Any suggestions. I use the paid version on my computer and it is great!! Was hoping to clean up the registry on this old piece of junk for my friend LOL.
It works fine but would like to have a complete cleanup. Thank you for any help you can offer. Fireft
