1. Message came up that active running anti-virus (Avast-Home version) may cause RC1 to not run properly. Is that correct? AV cannot be running when using this? Doesn't make sense. Can you explain what this is about?

2. First Reg clean came up with almost 700 entries to clean! That's way out of the ballpark for this currently cleaned system. Right now, I'm very reluctant to use this new version. (Currenly using previous jv16 versions & used/tested all the betas.)

3. Happy to see you've postponed the Defrag tool. You don't need it anyway. Forget it! The emphasis should be the registry & directly related functions, as that's how jv16 progies have made their reputation. There are so many Defrag tools available, you are wasting valuable time & energy even considering it.

4. The interface has become overly complicated. Look at your earlier versions & bring back simplicity. Configuring has become a real chore.

5. The key is the reg clean engine & how well it works. The standard reg clean result dialog table doesn't give me the info I really need, without messing around with resizing columns, e.g.. The new result dialog table needs to be redesigned! Can't really understand what this new engine is doing compared to other engines you've used. Please explain. :?

6. The drop down tips are good info wise, but awkward to view that way. Would much rather prefer the tips to be available by passing the mouse over a word or phrase.

7. As a long time registered user, I do appreciate your registry work & often recommend jv16 tools to colleages. Have used/tested all your tools from the beginning. However, this new jc16 2007 rc1, at this point is not usable for me. (Vista Ultimate, multiple HDDs, Radeon x1950, 2GB dual channel mem.)

I'm also having problems with RC1 Jouni.

RC1 Registry Cleaner is showing up far more invalid entries than the previous beta 5. A lot of these I feel aren't really invalid so I'll take a closer look and report back.

An annoying thing is also happening when running Registry Cleaner. At random intervals the JV16 console pops back into focus over the running registry cleaner.

I'll try it for a few more days and get back to you with more specific details.

Please send description of some of these items with information why do you feel the items are not really invalid.

These are some entries I would be hesitant in removing. Although they could relate to temp install files. However the software mentione is still installed and in use on my machine.

Despite of the wrong posting at the wrong place, everybody's replying though ... I don't understand anymore :

Long live the anarchy at this forum

What is this sticky for ?

Well as the thread hadn't been moved I just carried on posting

Nice to see that Jouni has also joined in on the anarchy :

Well, remarks noted ...

I'm gonna not waste my precious time anymore checking if bug reports and feedback of the beta's and RC's are posted at the right place.

I've noticed many users don't even read your instructions in the beta-testers news letters, Jouni, so ... never mind...

Let the forum become a mess :

Perhaps WE can improve topic continuity by posting our reply in the proper place with a simple link to the misplaced post with good points ...

I agree. If DeviLduck or other writers in this topic have something more to say, please use the official thread: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1932&start=75
