Whatever happens, there's no need to purchase the program again. If you lose your license key we can always send you a new one for free, so there's no reason to worry about that.
I would recommend you to download the latest version of the program and install it to another directory, i.e. not over the current version. Does the new version work?
If it does, I can help you to move your old backups to the new version, if needed.
