easier removal of old stuff

for the past month I've been reading about flash player, and how new versions of it do not replace old versions of it, but just appear to coexist. Secunia has pointed that out as a vulnerability. As I look I find that I have different versions in different places

I had a 6. version in windows sys 32 which would not change no matter how many times I went to Adobe to update flash. It would be really nice if there was an easy way to scan for and remove all old versions of such a program no matter where they were installed.

How would this be different of what the Software Manager already does - removes software? It's virtually impossible to remove only a specific version of some software and leave another version intact, generally that can't be done.

Download and install Sandboxie, then install Flash into it, then browse the sandbox to get a complete listing of all directories and files created. From this you could make your own CMD or BAT file to automatically remove all files prior to installing a new version. Then you could just search the registry for "Macromedia" and that should land you with all the entries.
