I present the subject that JV16 compared witg systemsuite 7 prof and winxp manager has a very old and old fashioned outlook.

It's horrible and the way to use it is old too.

Well, in my point of view SystemSuite7's user interface is a big bloat:

According to our user survey, our customers are happy with the more minimalistic look of jv16 PowerTools: only 9% wants more graphics to be added while 48% thinks more time should rather be put on adding new configuration settings and information elements.

I totaly agree with JV16.

Software like SpySweeper with all those 'nice' looking buttons, for one all eat memory like its nothing. And secondly, all those apps take so much 'screen' space, when it can be so much smaller, and easyer to few.

But hey, tast is something personal, and i think that the developer of any program gets the lead chouch of what to do.

Im a classic-Windows style person my self.

Because i don't need all those fancy colors and neat effects.

I Guese that you use the a Windows Theme.

If so, you see that its just the way ppl want to have things looking.

jv16 PTs still are a breath of fresh air in a market where most of the cost & effort in developing software goes towards appearance & the smallest amount towards functionality & testing....

Not to mention the very nature of PowerTools makes a bit impossible for Jouni to make the program look like that. What I like about this program is its consistency throughout the interface, and adding a "candy" look would create some problems with this.

Anyway, I also like eye candy, but most software programmers are not exactly proficient in their implementation of these looks, so most programs end up bloated to no end. If they got the ability to make programs like Winamp or TuneUp Utilities, the eye candy would be no problem for most us, but unfortunately things are not going that way...

I don`t really care WHAT it looks like. I am intersted in the cleaning-efforts and NONE is more efficient than JV16.........the old cleaner-tradition from this genius SUOMI-MAN.

The jv16 PT main window is innovative and a superior way to present a tool box. Prettier icons in the main window might sell more product, but please don't mess with the flow of the tool windows and subwindows.
