File cache taking too long

Using JV16 2006, I was told that a rebuild of the file cache was desireable and that it might take a long time to complete. I clicked OK. 4 hours later, the status bar had not even shown any color yet so I cancelled.

I am using a 2.4 mz intel processor with Windows XP SP2.

Is there a problem in this area?

Have you tryed to re-start PowerTools and try it again?

If so, then u sugest to do a scandisk and/or defrag of your harddisk.

I Had this problem once or twice, and when i did a scandisk on my harddisk that went away.

Else i sugest that you select 'No' the next time, and disable it in the settings of PowerTools.
