Hello,
I purchased a license for Reg Supreme not long ago and have been using it in 'Aggressive' mode. It locates many entries (in the beginning it was in the thousands, but now just the mid-hundreds) and afterwards it will give me a number of entries that it will fix (either by deleting or repairing). For instance, my last scan turned up 423 errors. After creating a backup file and selecting the fix problems option, it says it removed 279 errors and was able to correct 8 of them. 279 + 8 doesn't add up to 423, so is there an error in the detection number or simply an error in the display number of what is "fixed"?
Also, I notice that a few of my games weren't loading up correctly, and my file association was out of whack (winrar files showing as blank - and thus unopenable) after scanning with Reg Supreme. After going to the backup files and reapplying them, everything was fine again. I never had a problem with Reg Supreme 1.3 on Aggressive mode, yet with 1.4 I keep running into problems. This is also the second fresh install of Windows XP that I have used Reg Supreme on and run into problems, the files that it's removing are relatively fresh (the OS installations are only 3 weeks old).
Should I just stick with 'Normal' mode and not use Aggressive mode? Also, are there some trouble shooting tips I can look into as to why the display numbers for errors and fixes are so off (often in a difference of a hundred or more)?
Let me know if any of this is unclear and I can try to clarify it more.
Thanks
