I'm about to switch from Norton Internet Security to NOD32--at least I want to if NOD32 and jv16 PowerTools 2006 are sufficiently compatible. From a newsletter I read earlier this year and from searching your forums, I've learned that there is (or was) a conflict between jv16 and the AMON in NOD32. Eset, the company that developed and sells NOD32, indicated in an email to me on 11-21-06 that there is a conflict and that one possible solution is to try excluding the jv16 executable in NOD32. Another possible solution--and a showstopper from my perspective--is disabling the AMON in NOD32 each time jv16 is run. Since completely uninstalling Norton (then reinstalling if necessary) is very tedious, a trial of NOD32 is not something I want to rush into before doing my homework. I'm trying to confirm that excluding the jv16 executable is actually possible in NOD32 *and* will eliminate the compatibility problem. Any experience with this issue from jv16 and NOD32 users or forum moderators would be most appreciated.
