Can I run RegSupreme Pro and Power Tools together?

Hello,

I use RegSupreme Pro 1.4.0.48 and am very happy with it; thank you!

I have two questions:

1. If I wish to test Power Tools 2006 prior to purchasing it, can I install it with RegSupreme Pro installed as well? Are there any issues I should know about when I uninstall the trial version of Power Tools?

2. Is there a facility built into RegSupreme Pro which permits me to check if updates are available? If there are, can I install the new version directly over the old or do I need to uninstall the older version first?

Alternatively, is there anywhere on the Macecraft site where I may access this information?

Hello Lane,

1) Yes you can use both without conflicts - presuming you install PowerTools in a separate folder. Uninstalling "PT 2006", after the trial period, should not create problems.

2) There is not such a feature in RegSupreme Pro. An available update should be installed over the previous version, as so you keep your settings and Backups. If you want to do a clean install you have do do a Backup of the the Data and Backup folders.

If you are using an Win9x system, you will find, since 27.10, an updated version of "PT".
