When I use the Registry Cleaner, uninstall strings pop up as "high risk." I do not want to delete these entries which means I have to manually select those I do want to delete. Attempting to delete an unistall string brings up a message box that either it cannot be uninstalled or that no backup is available. I see no way to eliminate them from coming up as a registry error. Is there a way?

Please, do not post the same question at different forum subdivisions anymore: that's forbidden by the forum rules :

As to your problem, you can try to add an appropriate name (or text string) to the "Ignore Words" tab of the Registry Cleaner.

That way the Cleaner will not list entries with that Word or String anymore.
